Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

Digital Signature Certificates or DSC or Digital Signature are being adopted by various government agencies and now is a statutory requirement in various applications like e-Procurement, GST and Income tax portals.

RajCOMP offers different class of certificates conform to x.509 standard of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to help organization and individuals secure online transactions with legal validity as per the Indian IT Act, 2000.

Type of Certificates

Signing

Signing DSC can only be used for signing documents. The most popular usage of signing certificate is for digitally signing the document before issuing to public or submitting any document to any authority. Signing via DSC gives the assurance integrity and non repudiation.

Encryption

Encryption Certificates can only be used to encrypt a document, it is most commonly used in the e procurement portal, to help the bidders to encrypt the documents and upload. You could also use the certificate to encrypt and send classified information.

Signing & Encryption

It is a combination of both Signing and Encryption Certificate.

Validity of the Certificate

The Certificates issued by RajCOMP is having validity from 1-3 years.

Classes of Certificates

According to the new guidelines released by CCA, RajCOMP CA can issue only Class 3 DSC to their clients.

Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate

Class 3 digital signature certificates are issued by RajCOMP CA according to latest IVG guidelines issued by the CCA. Class 3 Certificate is considered as the most secure and the safest of all certificates. Class 3 certificates are used in for following purposes:-

  • LLP registration
  • Customs e-filing
  • e-Procurement
  • e-Bidding
  • e-Auction
